We are getting a kitty!!!!!!!

Here are some pictures of our new little boy. We should be getting him in a few weeks.

We haven't decided on a name yet... we will accept suggestions please, BUT.... Dad is kind of insistant on ONE-syllable names. He says it's easy to holler' at them if they have a one-syllable name... For example... if he is about to scratch on the new couch, it's cumbersom to yell;

"HEY! Fatty-McButter-Pants! QUIT scratchin' the couch!!!!"

"Cu-tey-Pie", "Mis-ter-Man", "Fluff-y", "Rom-per", "Rip-per", "Swee-ty-Boy", "Prec-ious", and the like are UNACCEPTABLE.

Much easier to yell a ONE SYLLABLE name... "JAKE!"... "SID!"... "SAM!" Etc. are good names.
Another benifit of a one syllable name is that the animal will easily learn, accept, remember, and respond quicker to a one syllable name.
Can you imagine trying to work a big ol' team of pulling horses named "Elington and Alfred"? Or "Scarlet and Sunshine"... or "Peterson and Jacob"..... You'd never get them hitched!!

That's why pulling and work horses usually have names like "Zeke and Bud", "Pete and Joe", "Mike and Jack".... it makes it easier to yell and also makes it easier for the horse to know his own name!

So... We've had a "JAKE"... and "SID", so they are out.... any suggestion on a name for this little guy (keeping in mind the above stipulations)?

By the way... 'Aint he cute?!!

This is about how he will look when we bring him home... he's a "Seal point".

Here is a link to the "Cattery" where we found him. You can go here and see his mom and dad. The site also has a live "KITTY CAM" that's always on and watching the cats.... COOL!

Awwww Jaime, he is VERY cute!!!! We had kitten that looked a lot like that, we called her Sadie and we gave her to a nice girl, and we hear she is doing well!
For names, I recommend. . Motts! That's my favorite. Other possiblilities could be Bo, Mo, Lou, Pike (for you fish lovers!), Ed (after the big eddie?), Moose, Jeb, Luke, and Todd says Petey-Boy. Ok, well good luck!

So it is Joey after all! You should tell your dad that "Joey" has 2 syllables. Does he just call him "Joe?" Also, "syllable" is a ridiculous word.
